Xtrema Ceramic Skillet

Xtrema ceramic skillet reviews and recommendations
The popularity of using Xtrema ceramic cookware decided us to look a little better in the products they have available. One of the most used items in most kitchens is without doubt a skillet. Up to now many people used the non-stick versions but more recently it shows that this is not the best skillet to use. The used materials in the non-stick coating like Teflon can chip of and get in your food.

One of the thing we found when we started looking into the Xtrema cookware reviews was the total lack of chemicals in them. In combination with the non scratch, non toxic and the fact that this made them not leaching anything in your food makes them in my opinion a very good choice.

How To Clean Ceramic Skillets

Cleaning and ceramic skillet is a little different and if you look for an answer on this question you find that a lot have the same advise.
One of the best tips I can give you is to read the manufacturers instructions in the manual. The know the best how to clean their products but here are some tips:

  1. Allow to cool down first
  2. This is a very important step. Allowing your ceramic skillet to cool down will prevent it to crack because of sudden temperature variations

  3. Always hand wash
  4. Although some manuals mention the word dishwasher safe it is still recommended to hand wash your skillet

  5. Soak to remove burnt food
  6. Burning food happens and the easiest way to clean this is to soak your skillet in warm water for 30 minutes.

  7. Clean the in and outside thoroughly
  8. By cleaning the inside and outside real good you prevent grease build up and this will also protect your colors better from fading.

  9. Use a soft cloth or sponge
  10. Although ceramic cookware is scratch resistant it is still better to use a soft cloth or soft sponge for cleaning.

  11. Periodic deep cleaning
  12. Like any other cookware periodic deep cleaning is a good idea. Soak you cookware in warm soapy water and clean it with a sponge. After this add some baking soda and scrub the pan lightly with a nonabrasive pad or brush.

By following these tips you will keep your Xtrema ceramcor skillet in a good shape for a very long time.
