There is a lot of confusion about supplements. Here I will help you clear up all of that and tell you what supplements are, if you need them and if so what type and how much you should take daily.

What are supplements.
Any supplement is actually a dietary supplement since you take in addition to the food you eat.
A dietary supplement is a product that is manufactured and is in most cases in the form of a pill, tablet, liquid or tablet.
Supplements add nutrients that can be sourced from natural food sources including animals or are made synthetically.
What do supplements contain
They can contain vitamins, fibers, fatty acids, amino acids, proteins, probiotics, and minerals just to name a few. Most of the time they are mixed with other ingredients.
What supplements do you need.
This is a very hard to answer question and it depends a lot on what your lifestyle is.
You can understand that a bodybuilder has different needs than someone who goes for a walk twice a week. It also depends on what your daily diet consists of.
Here I will ad a list of the main supplements you can take and later will provide more information and links on where to find them.
Turmeric is one of the supplements I take daily since it has so many benefits. You can find my personal best turmeric supplement here.

My take on supplements and vitamins
Vitamins and supplements are a well-discussed topic and everyone has his or her opinion. If you need them is something I cannot tell you and the best thing is to consult your physician for that.
Although I eat fairly healthy and try to eat as much organic as possible in combination with grass-finished beef or heritage pork I still take supplements.
