There are a lot of people who claim that living a healthy life is too expensive and they can not afford it.
Reason for met to give a thought and see what I can come up with that would cost no money but have a positive impact on your life.
I can actually make this list very long but decided to make a shortlist of 5 free things that can improve your health.
If you like to read more tips you can read my article on adopting better habits.
Live in the present
We all worry about things that we have to do or things that have happened in the past.
There is nothing we can change about the past or things that are still coming.
Try to live in the now and present.
Enjoy little things while they happen. A smile from someone, a nice flower, the sunshine, a nice lunch and I think you can come up with things that make you happy on a daily basis.
With rhythm, I mean your daily routine.
I know we all have to do things in the day and are most of the time busy.
However, at night you might have the option to change your rhythm in a way that can improve your health.
There are researches that claim that the things you do before going to bed can have a huge impact on your sleep.
here are some tips I found.
- Turn of the TV, phone and other devices
- No TV in the bedroom
- Meditate before bedtime
- Prayer is my favorite meditation at night.
- Go to bed on time
There are studies that show that the best rest you get is between 10 PM and 6 AM and by using a good mattress.
I also do not eat at least 2 hours before bedtime.
The light from our TV and smartphones seems to have an impact on how relaxed we are before going to bed.
Turning them off an hour before bedtime will help you sleep better.
Nature is one of the most healing powers and totally free.
There is no charge for a walk in the park or your own backyard.
A walk in the woods can be very relaxing and give you a lot of peace.
This can be a little tricky if you talk about free tips to improve your health but there are a lot of free options.
Eating healthy should be on everybody s list but can be challenging also.
Try to cut sugar out your diet as much as you can. There is more and more proof that sugar is unhealthy in the amount we eat it nowadays.
Instead of pre-cooked food or food from a box try to cook fresh food every day. The preservatives in the boxed food in combination with the fact that they contain a lot of sugar are proven not to be good for us.
There are studies that claim that all the EMFs (Electromagnetic fields) from WiFi and even our telephones and TV sets have an effect on us.
For proof, you can go to YouTube and search for “making popcorn with a smartphone”. I did it and it scared me.
I try to keep my phone as far away from me as I can and turn our WiFi off at night.
There are some other things I do, but they are maybe easier for me because I work from home.
I use a grounding mat under my desk to stay grounded during the days I can not go outside.
I try to get some sunlight every day for vitamin B.
